TASTES LIKE: Stone fruit - Lime - Black tea
Recommended for: Espresso or Filter
This is a clean and classy coffee from the renowned Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia. We were blown away by its clarity on the cupping table. Expect delicate notes of finger-lime, yellow peach and nectarine, and a delightful tea-like texture. We love to drink it as a filter, but if you enjoy a fruity, light espresso, this coffee will deliver the goods.

From the importer:
This stunning lot hails from the Danache village and surrounds in the Gedeo Zone, just south of Yirgacheffe. The cherries are picked from a semi-forest environment with fertile red soil. The most common local landrace grown in Gedeb are Wolisho and Dega. The district is a hub for coffee-farming families renowned for their high-quality produce.
Smallholder farmers in Gedeb typically cultivate plots of land measuring less than 2 hectares and often assess their coffee farms by the number of trees rather than by area. Traditional cultivation methods dominate this region which is characterised by intercropping the coffee plants with other food crops, as well as adopting an 'organic by default' approach to farming.
