From the family:
Since 1988 we have been producing very high-quality coffees in the heart of Minas Gerais state, in Cerrado Mineiro Region – Brazil and throughout this trajectory we have improved our work and adopted the best sustainability practices and respect for people and the environment. We are a family run business and everyone in duty is passionate about coffee. Our properties are certified by Rainforest Alliance, 4C and Certifica Minas and we are also members of BSCA.
We are obsessed about innovation on our pos-harvest processing methods, so we are, crop after crop, trying new experiments. We currently have 17 different ways to process our coffees, most of them developed by our own at the farm. Our portfolio includes naturals, fermented, pulped naturals, honeys, washed and also several combinations of 2 or 3 different processes, which gives us a wide range of sensory notes in our coffees, using nothing else but coffee and, in some cases, water.
We've been sourcing coffee from the Vinhal Family for the past three years and they produce incredibly unique, vibrant coffees, unlike anything else we've encountered from Brazil. Vinhal Farms are currently in the stewardship of of Rafael Vinhal, with aid of his parents Marcelia and Alfonso, with Rafael being the third generation of the family to manage the farm. In the past few years the family have introduced some spectacularly innovative processing methods to take their lots to the next level, which includes this double fermented washed lot.
This coffee brings a clean, creamy body with flavours of toasted coconut, tropical fruit and pina colada. Being a Brazilian lot, this coffee is sweet with a medium body and low acid. Delicious either black, or white.
